All Arizonans have a shared responsibility to help kids grow up healthy and ready to learn.
When kids get a great start in life, they are more likely they are to succeed in school, less likely to receive failing grades or be retained/left back, and more likely to advance into college and successful careers. They also tend to be healthier and demand less from the public service system.
First Things First has allocated more than $284 million in early education and health services that help kids start kindergarten healthy and ready to succeed. We partner with parents and families to help them make the best choices in preparing their children for school.
And, we work to inform and engage Arizonans – from local citizens concerned about our kids’ well-being to business leaders committed to our state’s economic prosperity and federal or state lawmakers whose decisions affect the services available to prepare our kids for the future.
